MRS. LANGHOLZ DIES IN OHIO Mrs. Margareta Horn Langholz, mother of Mrs . George Zier and Carl Horn of Davenport, passed away following a shor t illness at the home of her son, Martin E. Horn in Columbus, Ohio. Sh e was 85 years old; interment was on January 9, at Columbus. Mrs. Lang holz was born Margareta Christiansen on March 31, 1864, in Bredstedt , Schleswig-Holstein, Germany, and came to the United States as a youn g woman. On June 12, 1889, she was married to the Rev. Karl Anton Hor n, Lutheran Missionary in Washington, Oregon and Idaho. Ten children w ere born of this union, one of the girls dying at the age of four year s. The Rev. Horn passed away at his home in Weber, Washington on Jun e 1 7, 1915. In January, 1930, Mrs. Horn married to Rev. John Langhol z at Ayton, Ontario, Canada. She is survived by her husband, at the Ma rtin Horn home in Columbus; her children, Mrs. Lena Kinzel, Ritzville ; Mrs. Katie Zier, and Carl Horn, Davenport; Mrs. Agnes Rummer, Newber g, Oregon; the Rev Albert R. Horn, Baltimore, MD; Mrs. Ruth Jayne, Lar amie, WY; Christ A. Horn, McMinnville, Oregon; and Martin E. Horn of C olumbus; 35 grandchildren and 22 great grandchildren.

The house on E. 2407 Pacific Ave in Spokane, Washington, is where Gros zmutti lived from about 1922-1927. After she sold her home in Odessa , she lived with Aunt Thekla and Uncle Gussie before living here. Thi s would have been in the area of Emmanuel Lutheran Church that Groszpa pa started on E 4th Avenue. Uncle Chris remembered this picture whe n I sent through the round robin. He built on the enclosed porch. Thi s is where he slept when he stayed with his mother after graduating fr om Washington State College in about 1926. He worked at White Pine Sa sh Co. He got a traineeship from General Electric Company and went ba ck east to Massachusetts to work for the company. Chris and Christi e Horn 1992 Margarethe spelling in 1915 obituary of Carl Anton Horn an d was reportedly spelled "Margareta" prior to her marriage.
